1) Glastonbury Cider Bus, Pilton, Somerset
– what could be better than enjoying a nice pint of Burrow
Hill at Glasto, listening to the tunes, watching the sun set
and the fires start?
2) Wedlock’s, Ashton, Bristol
– just across the road from Ashton Gate, home
of Bristol City, you can enjoy the finest pints of Thatchers
and Natch, surrounded by City memorabilia, and usual accompanied
to the sounds of the Wurzels.
3) The Cider Bar, Newton Abbot, Devon
– nothing but glorious scrumpy on sale, and the best party
for miles.
4) The Coronation Tap, Clifton, Bristol
– usually has at least 5 ciders on sale, plus the legendary
“Exhibition”, so strong they only sell it by the
half-pint. Try to remember walking in, ‘cos you’ve
got no chance of remembering leaving.
5) A Park Bench, anywhere –
there’s only one way to start drinking cider, and that’s
as soon as you can get your hands on some. The road to proper
cider-drinking begins at Diamond White!
