Not
a long stay for us before or after this one, just a quick
trip to the England Fans Village before the game, where
there was one bar to cater for 7000 fans, and a long queue
at the station afterwards. The Welsh didn't like losing,
didn't like our National Anthem, and didn't like that
we're going to Germany and they're not. But it was a fantastic
atmosphere in the England end as we drowned out their
booing, and then outsung them for the rest of the game,
leaving everyone struggling to speak by half-time. Again
not a great performance from England, who stopped attacking
once 1-0 up, but still controlled the game and kept the
Welsh down to just one meaningful chance. We keep getting
away with these tactics against the poor teams, lets just
hope they work or we have some better ones when the world
class opposition come along. |
