Following
the phenomenal success of the 2005 NUFC Pro-Evo Sunday, we will again
be running an event this year to satisfy all of you dedicated Playstation
freaks.
At
12.30 pm on Sunday, 5th November 2006, the Club’s own knock-out
Pro-Evo competition will begin at the Grove Sports Centre and we are hopeful
that as many of you as possible, together with friends outside of the
Club, will wish to take part.
Will
anyone have the Joy Pad skills to stop Mitch from retaining his Pro-Evo
crown? Here’s a chance to prove yourself! We will again be screening
games on the big screen, but will also have more TV screen matches to
ensure the competition runs more smoothly. A ‘Losers Plate’
competition will again be run for those unfortunate competitors who bow
out of the first round of the main competition.
There
are no age restrictions and an entrance fee of £2.00 will enable
you to enter the first round draw which will be made in the Grove Bar
after the NUFC games on Saturday, 4th November 2006. It will then be a
straight knock out the following day all the way to the finals. There
will be food and drink available on the day and we hope everyone will
enjoy the event as much as they did last year.
Also,
as a bonus and adding climax to the event, the darts re-match everyone
has been waiting for will be taking place as The Big Gay Ginger Bear looks
to batter the Tony ‘the Shirt Burner’ Smith like he did last
year.
Please
let myself, Barry, Jim (Lee), or Smiffy know if you want to enter.
PLEASE
BE AWARE THAT THE DATE FOR THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM THE ONE PREVIOUSLY
PUBLISHED ON THE CLUB’S WEBSITE (which was 22/10/2006).
