As
you may know, Alex Parsons suffered a severely broken ankle whilst playing
for NUFC Reserves at Clevedon on April 12th. This caused Alex to spend
5 days in hospital, and is likely to mean e is on crutches for up to 3
months.
To raise some money as compensation for Alex, his team-mates in the Reserves
have organised a skittles day at the Grove, on Sunday 30th April. This
will feature skittles matches and "Killer" tournaments, as well
as live football on the big screen, happy hour at the bar from 12-3 and
a buffet*. And with it being a bank holiday weekend there's no excuse
not to take full advantage of the happy hour prices!
The event will start at midday and run until 6pm. Please come along for
as much of the day as possible, we will be charging a small entry fee
for each skittles match, so the more matches you enter the more cash we
can raise. We will also be holding a raffle, so if you would like to donate
a prize, such as a bottle of wine, chocolates, beer etc please contact
James Holman or Neil Wring.
The day is open to all, please come along and support it, as it is days
like this when the true club spirit is shown.
* The buffet will be provided by
the NUFC Reserve team squad, no compensation will be provided for the
after-effects of this!
