Sunday 28th May - The Nailsea United SHOWBOAT - what a weekend!

On Sunday 28th May, Nailsea United will be holding a 32 team 6-a-side football tournament followed by an evening of live entertainment at the Grove.

These festivities will be run with a licensed bar and BBQ.

The main aim of the day is fund-raising for the club, in particular the new changing rooms, but we also want to get as many club members and friends together for what should be a brilliant day for all. It is of course a Bank Holiday weekend, and also the weekend of our annual presentation evening (Friday 26th), so hopefully as many people as possible will be able in these events.

Format:
The day's format will be 32 teams split into 8 groups of 4, with the top 2 teams of each group progressing into the knock out stages. Entry will be £20 per team.

Further details including start times and fixtures will be available soon.

In the evening Nailsea United will be hosting live entertainment at the Grove including 2 live bands. The details of this and the number of tickets available are still being finalised and an announcement will be made shortly.

Team Entries:
Entry is by invitation only. Provisionally a list of 32 captains has been drawn up and each will be invited in turn to enter a team.

22 of the captains are from within the club, and it will be their responsibility to sign players for their team from inside or outside Nailsea United, but no player can play for more than one team.

The other 10 teams are friends associated with Nailsea United, who will be invited to enter a team.

Notes:
- you are not bound by the players submitted. The reason names are requested is to ensure no-one has agreed to play for more than one team, and so that a few statistics can be put in the day's program.
