Nailsea United Ladies

It gives me great pleasure to announce that we have launched Nailsea United Ladies Football Club. Following an appeal by some ladies to start and support a Club, we have already met up to decide how this will be done.

We have three qualified coaches at the Club (Nick Shipway, Rob Tracey and Matt Vickers) who have agreed to coach and manage the team. To begin the venture, they will be holding introductory training/coaching sessions at the Scotch Horn Sports Hall on three consecutive Sundays - 20th & 27th November and 4th December 2005, all starting at 5.00 pm and lasting for one hour. Any interested ladies (who must be 14 years old or above) will be made to feel very welcome and shouldn't worry if this will be the first time they've got involved with playing football - every opportunity will be granted to learn and improve.

Our aim is to be playing Ladies League Football during the 2006/07 season so there is plenty of time to prepare. Nailsea United Football Club will be giving this initiative its full support, one which I personally feel is long overdue and with enthusiasm and commitment I am convinced will be a great success.

Come on ladies, your Club needs you!
