New A Team Manager

As some will by now be aware, Tony Peacock has decided to resign from the post of 'A' team Manager. Tony wishes to concentrate on playing rather than managing and this, coupled with his forthcoming holiday down under, has influenced his decision. I would like to thank Tony for his hard work and commitment in managing the 'A' team last season and for running the team during the pre-season while a replacement has been found. The 'A' team job was Tony's first managerial appointment and it was almost a season to celebrate as Tony took a young team to the brink of promotion. I am sure Tony will lend his managerial skills to the Club again but it is totally understood that he wishes to resume playing and I am sure he will be banging in the goals for us once more.

I am pleased to announce that with immediate effect, Tony's replacement will be Tim Hodge. Tim is very well known at the Club, having played successfully for almost all of the Club's sides and has a wealth of knowledge of local football. Tim will bring entusiasm, dedication and much needed experience, which will greatly compliment our aspring young players. Tim will name his assistant very shortly and I am sure all at Nailsea United will welcome his return to the ranks and wish him all the very best for the coming season.
