I would like to thank everyone who turned up at the Grove over the past weekend to help out with the 'working weekend'. We got through so much more than I ever dreamed we would thanks to everyone's hard work and the improvements around the ground speak for themselves. Special thanks to Sammo, Steve, Graham and Dave W who all contributed their skills, plant and tools to get the big jobs done and to Bracer, whose original idea the weekend was. It also seemed that everyone enjoyed themselves over the two days (some vintage moments - Jim taking £20 to John Brown's to ask for some 'sky hooks' , James H impaling himself with the iron stake and Tony P falling off the back of Sammo's truck to name but three) and this is really what the club is all about, pulling together to improve and progress. Still a bit to do - the fence is next in July when we will again need some help - but well done to everyone, a superb team effort.
