NAILSEA UNITED FC END OF SEASON DINNER DANCE 2004/05

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

Please can those people who have yet to pay me £25.00 for the end of season presentation dinner & dance do so without any further delay. Around 50 people, having committed to come (many who have selected their menu options), are yet to pay and this is causing me sleepless nights with the event just around the corner.

Therefore, if you haven't paid me yet please send me a cheque (payable to Nailsea United Football Club) or deliver your cheque/cash to my home address at 10 Godwin Drive, Nailsea. If you haven't yet chosen your menu options please provide these details as well.

Can I also ask Dave, Tony and Boots to come back to me urgently with responses to the list of names I issued on Saturday (whether or not these people are coming to the event).

The Club asked Barry and myself to organise this event which takes a lot of time and effort - please help us to make this as painless as possible by doing your own bit and paying up promptly.

Thanks

Spence

-------------

As previously advised our Club end of season Dinner Dance will be taking place at Cadbury House, Congresbury, on Saturday, 4th June 2005. This has been organised following the widespread request from within the Club for a sit down meal, presentation and disco format. We would like all players to attend and any friends and family will be very welcome. We have had a great mix of people at our social functions this season and would like to see this continue at the Dinner Dance.

Cost (per head)

The cost per head will be £25.00. This includes a three-course meal (menu choices below) and coach travel to and from Cadbury House. I would add that this charge is to cover costs only and the evening will not be a fund raising event in any way. All payments must be made to Barry or myself by 30th April 2005 - the last day of the current season. We need to avoid chasing people for money after the last games have been played and people disperse for the summer.

Dress Code

The venue stipulates that male guests wear a shirt and trousers (no 'T' shirts and jeans basically). Why don't we make this a PFA Dinner type function, do it in style and get the bow ties on?

Itinerary

6.30 pm (or before!) - Meet at the Grove Sports Centre
6.45 pm - Coaches leave Grove Sports Centre
7.15 pm - Coaches arrive at Cadbury House
8:00 pm - Dinner is served
9.30 pm to 10.00 pm - Presentations/Awards
10.00 pm to 1.00 am - Disco and much drinking
1.30 am - Coaches leave Cadbury House

Menu

In advance (before 30/4/05) Barry and I will be asking you to make menu choices from each of the three categories;

Category One - Starters

Choice of the following home made soups;

1. Cream of Vegetable or
2. Tomato and basil

Category Two - Main Course

Choice of;

1. Pan fried chicken breast served in smokey bacon, mushroom and brandy sauce or
2. Roast sirloin of beef with Yorkshire pudding and a red wine sauce or
3. One of three vegetarian options on request (Aubergines stuffed with Moroccan Couscous or Mushroom Strogonoff served in a filo pastry basket or Vegetable Fricassee served in a filo pastry basket and topped with cheese sauce).

Category Three - Desserts

Choice of;

1. Chocolate Fudge Gateau or
2. Strawberries and Cream

Awards

For each of our five teams, there will be Manager's Player and Player's Player awards (Team Managers will be collating the Player's Player votes). In addition, the Club will also be awarding; leading NUFC Somerset County and WSM & District top goal scorers, Young Player of the Year, Sportsman of the Year, Non-playing Clubman of the Year (the Sir John Hobbs trophy) and the ever popular Doughnut of the Year.

This event has and will take a lot of organising so can I please ask everyone to make things as easy as possible for the Club Committee by choosing menu items and paying on time. We are sure it will a great night and a brilliant way to round off the season, but as always it will need your support which has been so fantastic to date.

Kind Regards

Spence
