The Club Committee has decided that the Club’s ‘Fake That’ event, originally scheduled for Saturday, 8th December 2007, will now take place on Saturday, 9th February 2008. It was considered that the ‘Fake That’ event requires more time to plan properly and also the scheduled date and format was perhaps a little too close to the Karaoke Disco, held last weekend. Therefore everyone now has more time to get their ‘act’ together’!

Talking of the Karaoke Disco, the Club made a handsome £647.00 profit which was an excellent fundraising effort. This is more than can be said for some of the singing performances, only Penny Lester emerging with any real credit when she delivered an impressive version of Blondie’s ‘Atomic’, despite Mr Sampson’s best attempts to totally sabotage it!

Seriously, can I thank everyone at the Club who supported the event. I am sure that all of you are aware how important fundraising is to the Club (this year more than ever before) and to get this level of support was fantastic.
